RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure that the maintenance required to be carried out, including defects rectifications are carried out in accordance with Nig. CAR Parts -5, 6 and 9 requirements.
  • To make contracts with other AMO organizations when required and to prepare maintenance support arrangements with such certificate holders and carry outwork on EAL aircraft in accordance with Nig. CAR Part6.
  •   To ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • To ensure that the necessary an required human and material resources are available to carry out all planned maintenance on all EALLL aircraft.
  • To deliver serviceable aircraft/components to the operation on time, in a cost-effective manner and in compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • To manage the productive resources of labour, materials and facilities in an efficient manner taking into consideration Human Factor principles and aspects.
  • To make the necessary arrangements for initial, corrective and re-training of certifying and other staff in tandem n with Quality and Safety departments.
  • To respond positively to Quality, Safety and Security non-conformances and ensure that any corrective action issued is implemented in time and in proper manner.
  • To control procurement and usage of tools and equipment, taking safety as paramount
  • To manage the efficient procurement of materials and other material services required for the maintenance operation.
  • To ensure the purchase of material necessary for EALL activities including the purchase of spares, hardware, software, telecommunication means, building technology, overalls, preventive working means and articles of advertisement.
  • To ensure direct technical contact with external Partners/Stakeholders.
  •  To produce a yearly Man-hour plan consistent with the planned scheduled maintenance, monitoring and adjusting as required.
  • To ensure delivering and distribution of all technical documentations and maintenance data related to the intended maintenance.
  • To Maintain a Technical Library to the required standards, ensuring that all maintenance personnel use only current maintenance documents (manual).
  • Enforce the continued effectiveness of the objectives of the Tools Box meeting, and Report of Occurrences as in the applicable section of the EALL SMS Manual.
  • Other responsibilities as listed in the applicable section of the EALL Engineering Department Procedures Manuals (EDP), and/or Maintenance Control Manual (MCM).

QUALIFICATION

The minimum entry qualifications for Head of Maintenance are:

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License B1 or B2 or equivalent.
  • 5 years experience in maintaining the same category and class of Aircraft used by EALL including 2 years minimum, in the capacity of returning aircraft to service.
  • A degree or equivalent in aircraft maintenance management.
